Heat Pumps
If you're looking for a way to keep your swimming pool at a comfortable temperature all year round, our heat pumps are an excellent option! Not only are they cost-effective and eco-friendly, but they're also low-maintenance and provide consistent temperature.
Heat pumps work by drawing in heat from the outside air and transferring it to your pool water through a heat exchanger. During the hotter months, the heat pump's chiller function can be used to cool the water to the desired temperature giving you a constant water temperature year round
Overall our heat pumps offer superior energy efficiency, reliability and environmental sustainability, making them a smart choice for heating or cooling your pool.
FAQ
-
Pool heat pumps work similarly to air conditioners and refrigerators, but in reverse. They draw heat from the outside air using a fan, which is then circulated through an outer evaporator air coil. This coil has liquid refrigerant that absorbs the heat and transforms it into a gas. The warm gas in the coil goes through a compressor, which turns the heat up further, resulting in an even hotter gas that passes through the hot exchanger condenser. Swimming pool water is then circulated, passed through a filter, and then the water heater. The hot gas transfers its heat to the water using the heat exchanger, resulting in a nice warm pool that everyone can enjoy.

Pool heat pumps are a great choice for those who want to enjoy a comfortable swimming experience all year round. They require minimal maintenance compared to other types of pool heaters, and simply need to be cleaned regularly and have their air filters replaced as needed. Pool heat pumps also offer a consistent temperature for your pool water, ensuring you can enjoy your pool anytime without worrying about temperature fluctuations. Additionally, they operate quietly, so you won't have to deal with the noise of a loud heater in the background. Finally, pool heat pumps are built to last, with a longer lifespan than other types of pool heaters. This can save you money on repair and replacement costs in the long run.
What makes PST Pool Heat Pumps Special?
-
Our heat pumps use INVERBOOST technology, which alters the inverter-driven compressor speed to match the heating or cooling demand. If there is less demand, the compressor works at a reduced speed.
This implies the PST heat pump only consumes the energy necessary to produce the necessary warmth or cool, saving energy and lowering energy expenses.
INVERBOOST technology also reduces the wear and tear on the compressor, resulting in longer lifetimes for the unit.
-
Thanks to INVERBOOST technology, the sound pressure is less than 39 dB at a distance of 1 metre from the pump. This is equivalent to the noise of a fridge – providing a peaceful poolside environment.
-
With the INVERBOOST Pro App you can have flexibility and control of your heat pump. Features include: allowing you to turn your pump on/off, adjust heat settings and set timers all from your smartphone.
-
COP is Coefficient of Performance. The COP of a pool heat pump is the ratio of energy input to heat output. Higher COP means higher efficiency of the pool heater. INVERBOOST heat pumps are highly efficient with COP up to 16, saving you money and helping reduce the carbon footprint. Energy efficiency rating A+++

With a lower Global Warming Potential R32 gas has less impact on the environment and global warming.
The higher energy efficiency of R32 air heat pumps makes them an attractive option for homeowners who want to reduce their energy bills and make their homes more environmentally-friendly.
What our customers say….
-
“We have installed two PST Commercial Heat Pumps at our 25m facility. The ability to control and tailor the water temperature to suit the weather and the activity the pool is being used for has been a huge improvement for us. Ensuring that in the cooler and warmer months, there are no disruptions, and we are providing the best possible environment for students is a big step forward for our aquatic programs. The feedback from students, parents, teachers as well as wider community has been very positive.”
Matt Adair - Head of Aquatics - NIST
-
"We use PST Heat Pumps at all 3 of our facilties throughout Bangkok. It is so important, especially for the babies to keep warm all year round, where we keep the temperature at a constant 32 C. The pumps are efficient and extremely quiet."
Gordon Ellard - Bangkok Dolphins
-
"We installed one PST Heat Pump at our learners pool which became very cold, especially during December through to February. Now the pool is 32 celsius all year round - the students are so happy and enjoying their lessons so much more"
Tim Tripp - Head Swim Coach - Bangkok Patana
